Kakapo Systems, a leading developer of applications for the BroadSoft BroadWorks platform, today announced that it will launch its Unity Mobile application at BroadSoft Connections 2014.
Scottsdale, Arizona, October 12, 2014 – Unity Mobile extends the call control, service configuration and instant messaging capabilities of Unity Desktop onto the mobile, allowing BroadSoft service providers to project their customers’ business persona out to the mobile device. The underlying cellular number is totally masked for both the making and receiving of calls, providing a total “one number” solution using the underlying BroadSoft DID number.
Steve Tutt, Marketing Director at Kakapo Systems, said: “Unity Mobile provides the same call control and group directory access features as our desktop apps. Customers don’t just want a voice path anymore, they want the smarts overlaid across the top. We call this Intelligent Working.”
Unity Mobile gives itinerant workers the same sophisticated user experience and access to all their BroadWorks services that they expect. In addition, Unity Mobile integrates with the existing Unity instant messaging service to provide a tight, on-net, messaging capability across mobile, mac and PC devices for all users in the customer group
Tutt adds “As a long-standing sponsor for the Solutions Showcase at BroadSoft Connections
we are excited to unveil this new technology and network with our professional colleagues in the BroadSoft service provider community. We will be providing immediate trial licences of Unity Mobile at booth #39”
